PURPOSE: The Education Oversight Committee shall set the educational goals for the Association, relate those goals to the appropriate subcommittee, and monitor the progress of the subcommittees in achieving those goals. This committee shall determine the overall educational agenda for the Treasurers’ Association, deciding on new curriculum and general scheduling of courses. This committee is responsible for overseeing the Certification Program administered by the University of Virginia. The Oversight Committee will review the contract with the Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service and provide input to the Association President and periodically review the Center’s performance.
Members: President-Elect, the First Vice President, the Second Vice President, the chair of the Education Committee, the Chair of the Career Development Subcommittee, the Chair of the Curriculum Subcommittee, one member at large, and the U.Va. Representative.

PURPOSE: The Continuing Education Subcommittee shall be in charge of scheduling the educational activities of the Certification Courses, Local Government Officials Conference, District Meetings, Annual Conference, Deputy Training, and New Officer Training.
Members: The President shall appoint the Chairman and the members which shall include the 1st Vice President, one Deputy Treasurer, one Town Treasurer, and the UVa Representative, in addition to as many other members as the president shall appoint.

This committee is also responsible for getting the plaques made for these awards. Responsible for ensuring that plaques are made for the Past President’s Award and the President’s Award. Responsible for ensuring that plaques are made for retiring treasurers. Responsible for communicating with the Annual Conference Committee chairperson and ensuring that plaques are delivered to the Annual Conference.
